The Georgetown Aspiring Minority Business Leaders & Entrepreneurs (G.A.M.B.L.E) will present Mr. John Idol, chairman and chief executive officer of Michael Kors onFriday February, 8, 2013, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., in Hariri Building, Lohrfink Auditorium.




Mr. Idol will speak about the development of Michael Kors’ brand over the past several years as well as the successful IPO that took place in December 2011.




Mr. Idol’s former experience includes his positions as the CEO of Donna Karan International, Inc., and Kasper A.S.L. Ltd. He has successfully led corporate restructuring and brand repositioning and has spearheaded vigorous turnarounds for his current and former brands.




The event is co-sponsored by the McDonough Retail and Luxury Association (MRLA), the McDonough Global Student Association (MGSA), the Undergraduate Marketing Association (UMA), and the Georgetown McDonough Office of Alumni and External Relations.




Doors will open at 5:00 pm for general admission. Attendees will receive a gift bag while supplies last. The event will be followed by a networking reception at Fisher Colloquium.
